Describe the furniture component accurately
For cabinet components, shelves or decorative panels, state whether finished-part dimensions and cutting dimensions are the same. If edge banding is required, identify the edges on the drawing. Do not assume banding and assembly are automatically included in cutting; specify the required scope separately in the quote.
Matching surfaces
For melamine-faced chipboard, colour codes and pattern direction affect how parts look within the same project. Distinguish left- and right-hand parts and mark the visible faces. For customer-supplied sheets, provide actual dimensions and identify unusable areas in advance.
