Preparation suited to natural materials
Wood species, grain direction and the condition of the existing part are all considered when assessing production. Show the visible face and the pattern’s relationship to the grain on the drawing. If we are machining material you already have, discuss its flatness and the area available for workholding in advance.
Carving and relief files
For a three-dimensional pattern, send the target width, length and overall height alongside the STL file. Identify the rear face that will remain unmachined and the minimum thickness required in thin sections. A photograph provides a visual reference but does not define machining depths on its own.
